Double Page Spread Draft

Here is a draft of my double page spread. It took me a long time to figure out how I wanted my double page spread layout, and I decided on having one picture on one side of the double page, and on the other the interview. I used big bold font to stand out on my page, and I noticed on double page spreads that a caption underneath the Masthead which is a paragraph overviewing the interview, would be ideal so I added that feature. I used yellow, as I have used this on my front cover.

This is the other side to my double page spread. I used a greyscale background on the image and left Michaela in colour to make her stand out against the background. I used bold white writing at the bottom, and decided to write a quote from the interview, which is common for double page spreads to feature. I highlighted key words in the quote in yellow, which is the same yellow used on the other side of the page. I then decided to have a white tab at the top of the page, which is common from dps's as well. This states: the photographer, a little limerick, and the date.
